Hello. My name is Yoonseok Lee, CEO of Double Time March Co., Ltd., which operates Mogakgong, a certification-based card app for growing young people. I studied development throughout my undergraduate and master's degrees, and have long dreamed of starting a mobile platform app.

The reason I started again

I first met Hyunje as a Flutter teacher and student at Sumgo in 2020. At the time, I thought that the combination of Flutter and Firebase had led to the era when even a single entrepreneur could quickly create a service, but as the complexity and functional requirements of the service increased, I realized that it would be difficult to use a single-person serverless method alone.

When I finished graduate school, I tried starting a business again, but another developer who had invested about 30 million won over 4 months suddenly stopped the project. I contacted Hyunje that very evening, and after reviewing the entire code, we decided to redesign and rebuild the mobile app, server, and admin page.

We completed the infrastructure, mobile app, server, ERP, and landing page to an advanced MVP level in just two months ahead of the Seoul National University Venture Startup Network Demo Day in June 2025. After 3 more months of reinforcement, version 1.0.0 was officially released in 5 months, and the number of subscribers exceeded 500 within a month of launch.

Responsibility as a belief
What I felt most deeply while working with Hyunje is that he is not just a person who is good at development, but a person who sticks to his word. Even when the task became bigger than expected and I had to stay up all night, I solved it until the end without making excuses or procrastinating. For a founder who was inevitably anxious, the words “I will take responsibility for it” were the biggest support to his heart.

Planning developer
Hyunjae is closer to an IT consultant than a simple developer. Functions that had not been fully considered in the initial planning, including coffee map, mentoring, event bulletin board, anonymous bulletin board composition and matching method, in-app payment ecosystem, and recommendation algorithm, were refined during the conversation. By considering technical feasibility, operational reality, and cost-effectiveness, unnecessary functions were removed and necessary functions were designed more elaborately.

Developer who can also design
It is a huge burden for a solo entrepreneur to hire a separate designer and prepare all pages and flows in advance when the app plan is not complete. Thanks to Hyunje, who understands both development and design, we were able to save time and budget on UI/UX while releasing an app with functionality and completeness, and invest the remaining budget in marketing and other core tasks.

Structure considering long-term operation
Mogakgong is an ecosystem that connects authentication, ERP and administrator functions, server, matching algorithm, in-app payment, bulletin board, chat, and landing page. Hyunje went beyond just the functions that work right away and redesigned the entire system to consider expansion three and five years from now. We combined fast development speed and stable structure, and provided clear reasons for every technical choice.

The driving force is fast and strong, but when I was worried or shaky in my decision, he respected my speed and waited. Whenever I was confused between several options, I understood the planner's concerns and the entrepreneur's anxiety and calmly provided direction. Thanks to this, we were able to make the necessary decisions together without wavering.
